Ilhavo, Portugal – The final event of the European funded Project NanoinformaTIX was held on February 8th and 9th 2023, to showcase the outcomes of the four-year project focused on nanomaterials and nanosafety.

Funded by the European Commission, the project brought together experts from academia, research organizations, and industry to collaborate and share knowledge on the safe and responsible use of nanomaterials by the development of a Sustainable Modelling Platform for NanoInformatics.

The two-day event provided an opportunity for the project partners to showcase their work and highlight the latest advances in the field. Participants from across Europe attended the event, including scientists, policymakers, industry stakeholders, and members of the public.

The event featured presentations and panel discussions on topics such as risk assessment, exposure, and regulation of nanomaterials. It also included interactive sessions and demonstrations of the project’s web-based tools which provide risk assessment and hazard classification for nanomaterials.
